Dr. Shyla Franklin
Dr. Shyla Franklin has been both a general practitioner and emergency veterinarian at Beverly Oaks Animal Hospital since December 2005. A native of Chicago, Dr. Franklin previously practiced medicine at Rancho Park Veterinary Clinic and Washington Dog and Cat Hospital from June 2004 to December 2005.
Dr. Franklin attended the University of Illinois, where she was awarded a Bachelor's Degree in Animal Science in 2000. She went on to attend the University of Illinois College of Veterinary Medicine and was awarded her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2004. Her professional interests included internal medicine and surgery.
With a strong interest in acting and dancing, Dr. Franklin frequently performs in local theater productions. She also enjoys swimming, movies, shopping, bowling and spending time with her family. At home, she cares for two cats, Beauty and Misty.
