Dr. Sheeba Thomas
Born and raised in India, Dr. Sheeba Thomas began practicing medicine at Beverly Oaks in February 2007. Dr. Thomas attended the College of Veterinary and Animal Sciences in Mannuthy, India, and was awarded her Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine in 2001. She went on to practice medicine at the District Veterinary Center in Trivandrum from 2001 to 2002, and spent a year at the Oklahoma State University College of Veterinary Medicine as part of the Education Commission for Foreign Veterinary Graduates from 2005 to 2006. Her professional interests include radiology, clinical pathology and soft-tissue surgery. Dr. Thomas has a continuing education certification in dentistry and is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association.
In addition to her duties at the hospital, Dr. Thomas is involved in numerous animal-related activities outside work. She is a volunteer with the LA-SPCA and is involved in spay/neuter programs at local shelters. She is also a member of the Southern California Veterinary Medical Association. In her spare time, Dr. Thomas can be found watching movies, traveling, cooking and spending time with her husband, Roji Matthews, and her son, Rohan.
